Huddersfield's only 'reality based' self defence school. In our Women's Self-Defence courses, in order to maximise the empowerment of women we teach a combination of ‘reality based’ self defence techniques & fitness based on Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do. You’ll get a great workout on the pads learning to kick, punch, knee and elbow which will make you fitter, stronger, more toned and more confident walking home. You’ll also learn good situational awareness, from early danger recognition and how to enforce personal boundaries, through to grabs, joint manipulation and escape techniques. You'll gain the skillset and the courage to use it, and perhaps most importantly, the increased awareness in order to avoid trouble in the first place.

We teach realistic 'pressure tested' Self Defence Martial Arts focused on Bruce Lee's JKD Concepts, Filipino Boxing & modern MMA. Classes are open to all ages who is interested in learning how to protect themselves and others in any situation. This class give you access to hands-on instruction in a safe and supportive environment and we have had, everyone from NHS workers & Police Officers & any woman seeking to feel that bit more confident walking home.



The goal of the class is to teach the basics to advanced of fighting & self defence. Students will learn fighting stance and movement, Boxing skill, kicks from standing position as well as from on the ground, elbows and knees, and how to defend against punches, chokes, headlocks and wrist grabs. We have a big emphasis in fitness & weight-loss in each class. One of the first things you will learn is Rapid Assault Tactics, the form of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do developed for US law enforcement.

  • We teach de-escalation/avoidance tactics, unarmed and armed assaults, multiple opponent strategies, and defence against weapons.
