The Olympic sport of Combat SAMBO is a derivative of Japanese Judo/JuJitsu & Karate from the former USSR.



COMBAT FIGHTING ARTS HUDDERSFIELD





Our adult classes are a Combat SAMBO/Combat Ju Jutsu fusion. Focusing on modern full contact, combat sports and is for all people who seek combat-oriented training and evaluation.


We've trained fighters in the past for both amateur MMA (cagefighting), Sport JuJitsu and Combat Sambo.



COMBAT SAMBO





The Olympic sport of Combat SAMBO is a derivative of Japanese Judo/JuJitsu & Karate from the former USSR and is tried & tested form of combat & self defence training made famous by UFC fighters Khabib Nurmagomedov & Islam Makhachev. FightLab is a member of the British Sambo Federation.



COMBAT JU-JUTSU





A modern combat sport based of the Japanese Samurai art of Ju Jutsu. Combat is divided into 3 parts:

  1. Kickboxing/Striking
  2. Clinch, throwing & takedowns
  3. Newaza (ground grappling)

Points are scored for contacting with strikes, throwing, ground pins & submissions.



Pressure testing





This is a no BS training system. Everything is pressure tested to ensure that techniques can be carried out against a live opponent within sparring


We're active on the competition circuit in both Combat Sambo & Sport Ju-Jutsu, however students need to train at least twice a week and hold at least orange belt level to be considered for competition.



SAFE PRACTICE





All students, not just juniors are expected to wear 'Bogu' (armour) to allow full contact training. There is some spare sets available for people until they can obtain their own.
